I bought this bit via a private vendor at a show and I am 100% pleased with it. The french link keeps the bit soft in the mouth while the controlled gag give just the right amount of poll pressure for a horse who like to rush and avoid the bit by lifting at the poll. I've used it on horses of all shapes and sizes and I've never had a problem with it. It doesn't pinch the horse's mouth where the gag ring is and it doesn't rub anywhere. I ride with a single rein, but if you choose you can ride with two reins to have a snaffle and curb rein. It's a wonderfully soft bit, with just enough poll pressure to encourage a rushy horse to lift and round over fences.

A great bit for an experienced rider. I find this bit very helpful with horses heavy on the forehand or a good trail bit for those horses needing alittle extra stopping power. A nice bit (in the right hands) with many uses.
