Thank you for telling me how to size them, I really appreciate it. I think I got them too small... but only by about 1/4 inch.

To get the correct size iron, measure your riding boot or shoe sole across the widest point - should be at the ball of your foot - and add an inch. This will be the size stirrup you need. The extra inch is to allow your foot to slip out easily, should you need to get free of the stirrup. Stirrup irons are measured across the tread.
