These boots are very high quality, and I like the idea of the elastic straps and double lock velcro, which is why I bought these boots over Woof boots. They are so un-ergonomical though, that I don't understand how they could fit any horse correctly. Basically, the portion of the boot with the strike pad protrudes outwards, which creates an air pocket so that the surface of the boot can not lie flat against the inside of the horses leg. The only points that touch the leg on the strike pad is where it is stitched in. I first put them on and thought that was very strange, but figured maybe they were designed to have an air pocket to further absorb impact. However, when I rode, the movement of the horse caused them to keep sliding down since there was always some give in the boot due to it not lying against the horses leg, even if I put them on very tightly. Dover was very nice and allowed me to exchange these for my old standby Woof boots, which I am much happier with :)
