Decent pair of boots

The fist thing you need to take into account is that these boots are $85. They look quite decent. They are very comfortable and they broke in in one day. If I were you I would go with the lower number on the calf measure. I bought mine smaller by mistake and they fitted perfectly. I bought these boots because I'm getting back in the saddle after many years and I had a lot of gear to buy. I'm planning on using them for few months and then buy a leather pair. I haven't worn them much but they don't look very durable.
Great boots, hard to get on

These boots are really a great price, they come with extra show laces that are leather. I broke these boots in only one day and rode in them and they were great. The only issue I have with them is that they are really hard to get on and the zipper can get stuck. You have to zip it up part of the way and then squash your foot in, the first time i put them on i thought they were too small. The other thing that bothered me, i don't know if it is really and issue is that they were not real leather but over all I like the boots.
worst boots on the market

well i bought these last year with christmas money, and after 3 days of breaking them in, the laces came untied. i mean usually boots like these would glue their laces to the boot. also, the elastic on the side-back of the boot has torn. the equileather looks really cheapy, they looked like i had gotten fabric that looked barely like leather, and wrapped it around my leg. other than that, i cant wait to get new boots. i guess price does meet quality, i got them cheaper last year. the last thing is is that the mesh type material on the inside makes your legs sweat way too much in the summer. IF YOU RIDE MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK, DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS.
For proper fit, Dover recommends that you take the time to determine your measurements before you order. Have another person measure your leg for the most accuracy. Properly fitted tall boots will, at first, be uncomfortably tight around the top of the boot and should come up into the back of your knee. They should be difficult to pull on and off or zip up. As they break in, they will drop comfortably around your leg.
When referring to tall boot sizing charts, it is important to keep in mind that all tall boots are measured at the widest part of the calf, but each brand measures height differently.
How to Measure for Tall Boots:
1. Wear the clothing (breeches, tights, socks, etc.) you are most likley to wear with your boots.
2. Sit in a straight chair with feet flat on the floor and knees at a 90 degree angle.
3. Measure calf around the widest part, and measure height from the floor to back of the knee.
4. Add 1 1/2" - 2" to measured height to allow for drop as your boots break in.
