Merchandising Analyst

Littleton, MA

Dover Saddlery is looking for a full-time Merchandising Analyst to provide analytical support to our Purchasing Department. This position will update, create, maintain, improve and potentially automate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a willingness to understand the “how & why” data is being collected and is able to interpret the results in a simplified manner. The Merchandising Analyst will also fulfill requests for data pulls and custom reports and will potentially develop tools that are easy to use.

The ideal candidate should also have a solid understanding of merchandising math and terminology. The qualified candidate will have regular interaction with the Purchasing Department and be a resource for data requests.This position reports to the Inventory Control manager

Requested Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, 5-8 years’ experience in analyzing data required.
A College degree is preferred. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills.
Position requires some data entry. A working knowledge of Office applications, including Outlook and Word are required and strong analytical skills and exceptional EXCEL skills are essential.
A background in Retail/Catalog merchandising terminology, and Access Database knowledge is helpful.
Horse knowledge is also a plus.

Marketing Specialist

Littleton, MA

Dover Saddlery is looking for a full-time Marketing Specialist to support our Catalog Circulation Department. The position will update, maintain and improve weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. In addition, the Marketing Specialist must help maintain large amounts of data, work with outside vendors and pay very close attention to details.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a willingness to understand the “how and why” data is being collected, and an understanding of how the data is being used. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for updating large spreadsheets and databases and verifying that data is accurate. The ability to spot errors and troubleshoot problems is necessary.

Strong organizational skills and coordinating with coworkers are a must. The ideal candidate must help keep the team and vendors on schedule to hit deadlines.

Requested Qualifications:
College degree in business, math, science or similar field.
Exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail.
Excellent Excel skills
Working knowledge of Office applications including Word, Outlook, Access
Experience with databases and SQL knowledge are preferred
Experience in catalog circulation, print production or working with mailing lists a plus.
Horse knowledge a plus.

Customer Service Representative

Merchandising Assistant

Littleton, MA

Dover Saddlery is a fast paced multi channel catalog, retail and eCommerce company offering high quality apparel, tack and horse equipment merchandise for the English discipline equestrian. Our merchandising assistant role is a hands on position that directly supports Directors of Merchandising in a variety of creative, operational, administrative and clerical functions. Daily communication and written correspondence with other departments and with our vendors is required. The ability to adapt, problem solve independently and prioritize projects quickly is a must. Position touches all areas of merchandising.This position reports to Managers of Merchandising.

The ideal candidate will possess:
A four year college degree or equivalent professional experience
Proven leadership abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills
Proficient in Excel
Horse experience a plus
A strong interest in marketing and merchandising

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Photo shoot and sample procurement support
Act as point person for all vendor in store promotions and signage. Track compliance and implementation in store and follow up with Directors of Merchandising
Shipping and packing samples and returns to vendors
Assist with order uploads and new product information sheets
Researching inventory or product errors
Communicate merchandising direction from Divisional Manager and Buyer to retail stores and follow up to ensure completion
Assist in resolution of quality control issues
Assist in re buying, product selection and category development for lower volume classifications
Attend store floor sets and photo shoots as needed
Clerical support as needed, primarily product related
Additional duties, as assigned by Divisional Manager
