I bought this muzzle for my gelding as he gets a little too dominant with the other horses in the herd. It worked great for about a week then the 4 nylon straps ripped right off. I liked the nylon/aluminum combo better than the rubber coated steel--its nicer on his nose and doesn't leave marks, but since he's so busy.. he ripped the straps right off!

my thoroughbred was a ridiculous cribber, she did it 24/7. I had her for 2 1/2 years and we bought seven of these. they each lasted for about 4-5 months, give or take, and she still managed to crib right threw them. but in the end it did slow her cribbing down.
