Yes they are long, but better long than too short. Wonderful quality. The bolt snaps are sewn on and not interchangeable but that is clearly evident in the photo. These are worth the $.

I love these reins. They break in well after a few rides and oilings. They are a little long, sometimes I have to worry about where the loop is, but not too bad. Overall great reins at a reasonable price.
