I purchased this blanket last winter around January-Feburary. I used it until End of April. Then I put it away unwashed. I pulled it out this winter and used it for one month. It leaks!!! I will have to have it resealed. I have never purchased a blanket that has leaked in the first season. I will not purchase this brand again. Usually I have them professiopnally wased but because it was hardly used I thought it would be okay. I should get way more use out of a blanket before resealing it. The blanket itself is in great shape. It needs to be waterproof because it rains here loads.

This blanket is good quality for the price. The straps seem to be rugged and the blanket has a nice fit. The blue color looks good on any horse! I would buy another of this brand and style.

How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
