These are wonderful boots!!!! My thoroughbred stepped on a nail! These boots allowed me to still ride him even though his frog was not entirely healed. I could canter, jump, trail ride, or whatever I felt like. They allowed complete hoof protection with a little draining system so they wouldn't fill with water. I do, however, encourage you to GET THE RIGHT SIZE! My horse had an absess a couple years ago and we got the same size as we did then and he was barefoot before and his right heel was rubbed raw because they were a little small. But i love them! :)

Works wonderful for lost shoes, tender feet, stability while trailering, or just for extra protection. I've used them on my horses so many times, for 2 years and they have yet to fall apart or get super dirty. If you go to Cavallo website- you can get them in PINK, and that way you can show your gelding's feminine side. But really, I've never had a problem with these boots. They don't rub the heel bulbs or pasterns. They let water drain out if you ride in creeks, they don't let rocks in, or sand. Big plus for me.
