I have actually owned one of these girths for the past 4 1/2 yrs and I ride several horses a day with it, this girth looks exactly like it did when I bought it, I have never had a horse come up girth sore, in fact, I have just ordered a second one for another saddle I purchased..I will say that I rinse it with water after each use and the only products I use on it is Stubben's , both the cleaner and conditioner, though only a few times a month..thank you for a wonderful product!!

Initially I was very happy with this girth but when my saddle fitter looked at it she pointed out that the elastic is just sewn on top of leather at the elbows thereby not really giving any added elasitc as it is proclaimed it does, she reccommended getting elastic added to the buckles or replacing with another girth..very disappointed!

At first I was satisfied with the girth, but after about 9 months it started to crack at the elbows which eventually started to cause girth sores on my horse that has never had girth sores before in the 8 years I've owned him. Poor dude. I did clean the girth after every ride and oiled it every 2-4 weeks, so I doubt the cracking may be creditted to neglect.
