How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

This sheet is worth its weight in gold! My horse stayed comfortable and dry throughout each rain storm, it's a great wind breaker. The sheet does not have leg straps, but there were no problems with shifting; likewise, it's very rugged and has not ripped a stitch! My only complaint is how quickly the buckles begin to rust, but that's a minor cosmetic issue. My horse will definitely be sporting more Amigo clothing from now on.

Bought for TWH and fits great. I like the lack of leg straps as the tail strap keeps the back sides together enough. Would like to see more adjustment available in the front but it is still a great buy.

Size was a bit small, hard time getting belly straps to close. Don't like the one strap under tail, was expecting the usual 2 straps that go under legs. Fabric seems like good quality, though, just not happy with the fit but didn't want to spend postage to send it back.
