A little confused by the reviews...I've been using this cooler for over 2 years and I'm really happy with it! I agree, not the best with shavings because they will stick to it. BUT! When I rinse my horses after workouts during the winter and spring months, I place this cooler on them afterwards and it wicks the moisture really well! I've also used it under my medium weight turnout blanket when it's colder than usual and it's PERFECT for that! I've never used in the summer after baths because it's so dang hot, so I can vouch for that. The cooler is longer on their legs than most, but I like them that way. And the fit was true to size...great for your big horses! So basically, I think this is a great cooler for the price!

the neckline was to deep, horse wore it in his stall just as a warmer when he went to eat he stretched the neck out even more. Didn't wick away the water well it just became soaked and I would have to use another. Then at a show had it on my horse while he was tied, be bit at an itch and it riped a hole that was 3 ft long.

This does not dry your horse after a bath nor does it "wicks away moisture". I put it on my horse after I bathed him since it was a little breeze in the barn and after 5 mins he was biting it trying to get it off! I took it off and he was roasting under it! It is good for use in the winter for keeping him warm after a workout but not for bathing. I would also not recomend this as a stable sheet as everything sticks it it. Overall not the most functional product but the navy looks very hansome on my grey.

To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your BlanketBlankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.
