Made in Italy. Renowned Amerigo designer Peter Menet created this Vega close contact saddle to position the rider forward, over the horse's center of gravity, allowing the horse to move more freely. This puts the rider on top of the movement, not behind it. The flexible polyamide tree has been engineered to fit the organic distance between shoulder blades and lowest point on horse's back. Independent Swiss style panels and wool flocking. Brown printed leather. 16", 17", 18", regular, medium wide or wide.

Not a consistant saddle fit.

This saddle is beautiful, and comfortable. I tried the Test Ride (the old version) saddle on my TB with HUGE withers and it fit him perfectly. I then bought this saddle NEW at a decent discount. Got it home, rode in it and the wool flocking was so "squishy" it sunk right down onto my horses withers. I was told time and time again that the old version test ride would fit exactly the same as the new version which i bought. When I contacted Dover Directly I was told I could swap the saddle for the test ride. Now tell me, why would i want the old version of the saddle USED when I want to buy a new saddle? I also did not like the leather keepers on the old version or the extremely dark- almost black leather. I requested a discount on a correction pad and was told "Because I purchased the saddle on such a discount there is nothing we can do for you." Well Dover, it was a ONE DAY sale and I happened to walk into the store THAT DAY. Not my problem the saddle was on sale and there was no consistency to the fit

I had a professional saddle fitter bring out a bunch of different saddles to fit my 16.2 h thoroughbred. This saddle fit both of us exceptionally well and is extremely well constructed. I've had this saddle for three years now and it looks practically brand new. I would recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a secure design, especially jumper riders.
