I bought these with very high hopes. It had been several years since I bought a pair of breeches. Why? Because all my other ones were Tuffrider and great quality (inexpensive, not "cheap") and I didn't need to. I purchased these because I have decided to get some full-seat breeches and wow, was I disappointed! First, the breeches themselves. I have other ribbed TR's that were nice, sturdy, yet comfortable and stretchy. With these you could feel that the quality of the material had gone downhill. The material is much thinner, less sturdy, not nearly as soft or stretchy. They had a "cheap" feel, rather than being inexpensive, but of decent quality. Second, "low rise?" Sure, if you count sitting "over my belly button" low rise. Third, apparently TR no longer uses the "Clarino" material for their patches. This material is, again, thinner, lesser quality and frankly does not grip the saddle at all. I felt like I was going to go flying off into the air at the canter because I was sliding around in the

These breeches look and fit great. The waste is really comfortable and once the suede stretches they are really adapt to your body very nicely. High quality and excellent performance.

I look forward to putting these on! They are very comfy at the was it, they wash well, and have a flattering look. I have a straighter waist/hip body type, and these work well for my shape.
For proper fit, Dover recommends that you take the time to determine your measurements before you order. Have another person measure your leg for the most accuracy. Half chaps should fit similarly to tall boots and should also come up into the back of your knee at first. When fitted properly, they will be difficult to zip at first, should be uncomfortably tight around the top, and will drop comfortably around your leg as they break in.
When referring to half chap sizing charts, it is important to keep in mind that all half chaps are measured at the widest part of the calf, but each brand measures height differently.
