By far one of the nicest looking nylon halters I have ever seen! Beautiful and sturdy hardware, soft padded fleece nose, cheeks and crown and easy to replace breakaway piece. Bonus is that it is also reflective. Adjustable nose and crown make it so you can fit properly to your horse's head. I don't see how there could possibly be a way for this halter to rub the horse raw unless it wasn't fitted properly. Mty horse is at a barn where she needs to wear a halter 24/7 and she has never had any rubs in this. Well worth the money, it's much much better looking in person than in the photos. I saw this at the Dover store and had to have it.

I LOVE this halter for so many reasons. It looks very nice and stylish (I feel silly listing that first, but hey, it matters). The padding is lovely. It is well made, the buckle is solid and easy to fasten, as is the throatlatch snap, and the reflective feature is an added bonus. Within 2 days my horse had tested the breakaway feature by sitting down on crossties, and it gave as intended under her full weight. Initially I was dismayed...I was still reveling in my snazzy new halter and not ready to put it away for fixing. However, this break-away is brilliant! A loop of light leather fastened with a screw...so I only had to punch a new hole to have my halter back. I just ordered two more for my other horses, and couldn't be happier.

I bought two of these in anticipation of my horses being turned out with the halter so I can attach their ID badges. In three days the horses heads and noses were raw and burned. Sorry. But this is not what I wanted. Too bad I spent the money. They were expensive three day halters. Next time I will just Brand my horses to go along with their micro-chips. Lots of horse thieves around here do to economy.I guess a leather halter is still best.
