Mistral Hojris carried Laura Bechtolsheimer, 2008 British dressage rider of the year, to a team gold medal and an individual bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The pair also won three silver medals at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Born in 1995, this Danish Warmblood gelding is honored as a Breyer® model in Traditional size.

First Mustang to Compete at Dressage at Devon

Born wild in Nevada, the beautiful dun Mustang stallion named Padré was gathered and adopted through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). He bears a unique BLM freeze brand on his neck, which is used to identify the wild horses that have been gathered from public rangelands.

When his owner Patti Gruber took him to his first show in-hand, Padré qualified for Dressage at Devon, which is one of the highest-rated international dressage competitions. Padré was the first mustang to ever compete at Devon, and he took home first place in the Four Year Old and Older Stallions (in hand) class, as well as winning Reserve Grand Champion Stallion Overall. To top off the year, Padré was also ranked #14 USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Horse of the Year for 4 Year Old and Older Stallions. Padré has truly shown what great horses domesticated Mustangs can be!

JUMPER JUMP

The Breyer Show Jumping Oxer Jump is beautifully painted in red and white. Looks just like a life-size oxer, two fences placed together to encourage horses to make a large round jump. A great addition to any Breyer game.

U.S. Equestrian Team show jumping rider Laura Kraut could have never predicted how a casual glance over her shoulder at a show in 2005 would lead to Olympic gold, but that's exactly how Laura discovered Cedric, a small (15.2 hands), talented and somewhat "zany" grey gelding that would show her - and the world - how he could fly over fences. Cedric is a mighty little horse that wins medals as easily as people's hearts!

Old Friends-Bull in the Heather; Old Friends is a facilty that cares for retired Thoroughbred racehorses. This Breyer model pays tribute to Bull in the Heather, a 1993 Kentucky Derby participant and winner of the Florida Derby. "Bully" is also a son of 1986 Kentucky Derby winner, Ferdinand, whose tragic fate at a slaughterhouse spotlighted the issue of taking care of aging equine athletes and providing them with dignified retirement.
