Well, I have to take back what I said in my last reveiw. I have had these boots ( from another vendor, since Dover did not have White) and am more than disappointed. They ripped just after 2 months of use. My last boots lasted almost 3 years, these have already begun to fail. More dismaying than that, neither the other vendor nor the company were willing to stand by the product or agree with me that they should have held up better. So more disapponting than the product is the customer service from the manufacturer. Caveat emptor, as they say.

I found these boots to be about 50% cooler than my Woof boots and with use I found they fit well. This has been particularly important with Summer heat when conditioning my horse. The manufacturer may need to change the design and make the material on the inside over the fetlock solid as it abraids fairly easily. Overall I have been happy with the boots. I would agree that protection from impacting XC fences is likely to be limited.

I had heard such good things about these and was dismayed to read the reviews here. I tried some that beloged to a friend at the barn ( I ride dressage) to try them out. They do not look unsubstantial to me, they look like they are quite sturdy. Most importantly, when I tried them I discovered they run very BIG as comared to other boots, my horse usually takes a medium in the front, she actually was perfect in a small. So the people who wrote so unfavorably probalby should have tried a smaller size. I'm just sayin'. I'll be buying these soon!
