How to Measure Your Horse and Fit your Blanket

The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. Improperly fitting blankets can cause rubbing and slippage. To find blanket size, measure distance from center of the chest, across the point of the shoulder, and to the center of the tail. Many blankets are sized in two or three inch increments, so choose the closest size available.

Care of Your Blanket

Blankets should be cleaned annually. First, remove excess dirt with a brush or hose, then wash by hand or on a delicate cool water cycle. Use very mild soap. Allow to drip dry. Do not put blankets in the dryer as this will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

Absolutley love this blanket! Great warmth for my 30 year old, who loves to stand in the snow rather than her stall! Attractive, fits well, and great quality. The only complaint I have is that I had to pay extra shipping ($10.00) before I could pick up at the post office - the shipping I paid to Dover online didn't cover the cost.

I LOVE this blanket!!!they truely withstand all weather!My horse was outside in the snow all day and when i took her baker off she was completely dry even where the neck-line is! I also lovre how the neck comes a bit higher than normally! My pony is really difficult to fitt blankets to because shes so wide but this blanket fit perfect and didnt get tight around her neck when she put her head down. over-all this blanket is amazing for the price,its holding up better than some of the more pricey blankets at my barn that are newer!!

I used Baker blankets on my horses beginning 30 years ago as a kid and was thrilled with the one we got last year for my own child's horse! It fits great, stays on, stays absolutely clean looking (amazingly), keeps the horse totally dry, is practically indestructable, and it looks great on. The turnout blanket is fabulous. I will buy another for our pony this winter. Baker blankets are time tested and still the best in my opinion.
